There comes a point in all of our lives when we must decide,
"What really happens when I die...?"

Why do we as humans even contemplate this thought?

Because our soul KNOWS it has a “Creator”.

Psalm 139:14 (KJV) I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

If our soul has a “creator” we then logically "reason out" what we know as a fact VS what we think.

1)       Is there a God?  As we think about the greatness of our universe, we think of all that we cannot see: things that are too small (micro-organisms) and things that are too large (outside of our galaxy). Our minds are overwhelmed and marveled and instinctively we KNOW there is a God.

2)       Did God communicate to us through His Word, The Bible?  Just one example of prophecy in the Bible is the prophecy of Jesus Christ’s birth in the book of Isaiah, which was written 750 years before His birth. There is no way men could have written the complexity of the Bible. It was inspired and preserved from generation to generation, so that we can know we have eternal life, and the many answers to our questions. By logic and faith we must accept the Bible as God’s Word. (The Bible includes the Law, History, Poetry, Major Prophets, Minor Prophets, The Gospel of Christ, Letters to the Churches and a book of Prophecy of the “end times”).

So if we know there is a God and we know the Bible is His Word, we can start to reason with the idea of what happens when we die. Does our soul live on….or does it just fade away into nothingness?

The Bible teaches that there is a heaven and a hell and that we must choose to accept what He has written us, the fact that He sent His son to die for us (to pay the price for our sin ), and we can live eternally with our Lord, if we confess (admit we know we are sinners- with a sinful nature) and by faith believe in Him.

God wants us to KNOW

I John 5:20 "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life."

My prayer is that if you know Him , you will draw closer to Him.....if you do not know Him, you will seek Him......

"Dear God, may my songs praise you Lord, encourage the hearts of the saints, and prepare the hearts of the lost...Thank you Lord for using me as a vessel to proclaim your salvation message in song. Amen"

"A Song For Leeland"

The story behind the song....
This song was written for my wife's uncle "Leeland".
During the last months of my wife's father's life he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour, and had a deep desire to share his faith with his brother.
The song was written the night before his passing, but was used and given as a gift at the funeral. Our prayer is that Uncle Leeland will come to know and trust in the Lord, and overall, this song will encourage an intimate level of sharing one's faith.

                                                By Faith
Ye Christian of the faith, please tell me of your time
of surrendering all , and the Lord did call, your heart and soul and mind.
Salvation came to me, one glorious Summer's Day.
In quiet bliss and humbleness, to set me on my way.

By faith I put my trust in Thee, that day I got down on my knees
Eyes were opened, for to see. I put my trust in Thee.

Well, the work has just begun, in a race to yet be won.
And of good cheer, the time is near, the returning of the One.
That left us with the Comfortor to seal our holy place.
Until that time, to get what's thine , we'll see Him face to face.

Chorus

Oh servant of the Lord. Hold stead fast that sword.
Pray at night , stay in the fight. The victory be yours.
We stand on Bible promises, our faith 'twill ever be.
Go out and find, to look and seek, for the lost and the dying need.

You and I both know, out there on this night.
There's a lost a lonely soul, confused and strick'n and strife.
Go and search them out, with a fully strengthened heart.
As centuries heard, by God's own Words, they too can have new life.

Chorus

Through faith we put our trust in Thee, that day we got down on our knees.
Our eyes were opened, for to see. We put our trust in Thee.
We put our trust in Thee.
